Friends of Weathersfield Proctor Library was founded in 1991, and is a not-for-profit organization. The purpose of this volunteer organization is to aid the library Trustees and the Librarians in their efforts to make the Weathersfield Proctor Library a vital Weathersfield resource, to enrich and expand the Library\’s potential, to promote awareness of Library services, encourage financial support that would not otherwise be possible through the town budget, and aid in volunteering and securing volunteers for the library.

The Friends of Weathersfield Proctor Library publishes a newsletter that includes reports on past programs, lists of new books, patron\’s reviews of books read, and upcoming programs. A copy of the newsletter is mailed to each member of the Friends. Friends continue to welcome new and renewing memberships.
